Terms and Conditions

The Site is an Internet-based venue where Clients and Wizards use our platform for online emotional support sessions. Wizdom LLC created, and continues to host, maintain, and provide the Site (Site Services). To access private online videoconferences and phone call-based emotional support sessions (Services), you must register for a Wizdom Account (Account) and become a Client.

To register for an Account, you must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, your adult sponsor must provide consent. You agree to provide accurate information in your registration. Wizdom reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse, suspend, or terminate service to anyone for any reason, including providing false or misleading information.

Wizdom is not a party to the communication relationship between Client and Wizard (Independent Contractor). Wizdom selects qualified Wizards, introduces Clients to Wizards and makes the Site Services available to enable online payment and delivery of Services. Wizdom does not direct, has no control over, makes no representations, and does not guarantee the quality of the Services or the ability of Wizards to deliver Services satisfactory to Clients. The coaching relationship exists exclusively between Client and Wizard and the Client pays the Wizard for their Services. If you have questions or concerns about the relationship, please raise these directly with the Wizard.

Wizard offers emotional support communication services only, and does not offer mental health psychotherapy or any other type of state-regulated mental health services. Although a Wizard may be licensed to practice mental health counseling or psychology, they are not doing so through Wizdom.

Client payments are made in advance. For ease of administration, Client payments are made through the Site. When a Wizard delivers pre-paid Services, Wizdom will collect payment, deduct a platform fee for introducing Clients to Wizard and for providing Site Services and then credit the Wizard.

Payment processing services for Wizdom sessions are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a Wizard or a Client for Wizdom, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Wizdom, enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Wizdom accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Wizdom to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

Services

The services to be provided by the Wizard to the client are online face-to-face or telephone sessions, as agreed jointly with the client.  Wizdom sessions may address specific personal life struggles, business issues, or general conditions in the client's life or profession.  Other services include values, thought storming, identifying action plans, examining modes of operation in life, asking clarifying questions, and making empowering requests or suggestions for action.  Additionally, the client may be asked to reflect on difficult topics or situations which may result in an expression of emotions. Throughout the working relationship, the Wizard will engage in direct and personal conversations.  The client understands that successful Wizarding requires a co-active collaborative approach between client and Wizard.  In this relationship, the Wizard plays the role of a facilitator of change, but it is the client's responsibility to enact or bring about the change by their own action. If the client believes the sessions are not working as desired, the client will communicate this with the Wizard as soon as possible and the support and/or coaching strategy will be restructured to address the client’s desired outcome.  The client understands that not all session methods and mediums all work for all clients and a course of trials may be required in order to find the best solutions. You are very much encouraged to talk more with the Wizard as to receive a better understanding of what Wizdom is about and how to get the most out of it.

Prior History

The client also agrees to disclose details of their past or present psychological or psychiatric treatment.  Wizdom sessions and counseling are not the same.  Likewise, therapy and other modes of professional or medical-psychological examination shall not be considered equivalent to Wizdom sessions. Wizards hosted on the Wizdom platform are not a registered psychologists or psychiatrists, nor licensed therapists.  Wizards do not engage in therapy with their Wizdom clients.  In entering into the Wizdom relationship, the client agrees that if any mental health difficulties arise during the course of the Wizdom relationship, the client will notify your Wizard and Wizdom LLC immediately at support@wizdom.life so that we can help discuss with the client an appropriate referral plan of action.

Confidentiality

All information about the Wizard/client relationship will remain strictly confidential except in very rare circumstances where decreed by law; i.e. where the court might issue an information request / subpoena for the file or information. If you wish for me as your Wizard to speak to someone outside our interactions, you need to give me written permission (original letter, fax or email) to do so.  Exceptions to confidentiality of course relate to circumstances such as intent to seriously harm someone, child abuse, thoughts of suicide etc. Otherwise, all remaining information is kept strictly confidential. It is also important to note that in some situations, it is important to be aware of the use of technology in that for some clients, there is a risk in using certain media such as the internet, mobile phones and cordless phones.
